Medium Compactor Plate - petrol

Compactor plates, also known as "wacker plates" provide good compaction levels of up to 300mm and are ideal for preparing sub-bases and final tarmac surfaces.

The medium sized plate compactors strike a balance between performance and practicality; lighter models cannot compact aggregate as well, and heavier models can be awkward to move due to their weight.

Powered by a reliable pull-start Honda GX engine, these Belle compactor plates are well built and are designed to cope with daily use.

For optimal levels of compaction, we would recommend laying the sub base in two stages and compacting no more than 75-100mm at a time.

Rubber components in the foldable handle prevent much of the engine vibration reaching the operator, thus reducing the level of hand-arm vibration.

Applications

Medium compactors are best suited to smaller projects such as compacting Type 1 aggregate as a sub base for driveways, patios, and other smaller areas.

An essential machine when block paving, plate compactors are also used to compact sharp sand and settle blocks in place.
