Hydraulic Block Splitters are heavy duty portable machines, providing a very quick and dust-free means of cutting paving and building blocks on site. They feature a 8-10 ton jack that lowers a metal blade, splitting most masonry blocks with ease.
The height of the blade may be adjusted to allow the user to split a wide range of block sizes including kerb stones and block paving. A detachable handle pumps the hydraulic jack, forcing the blade onto the block and splitting it in a straight line. There is a release valve on the jack that releases pressure and raises the blade in preparation for another cut.
It is worth noting that these machines do not create a perfectly clean cut, and are best suited to cutting blocks near the centre of the block. Should you need to trim off small sections at the end of blocks, the edge could simply crumble.

Benefits
Hydraulic Block Splitters are a useful companion for paving contractors and are ideal for cutting edge blocks in driveways, residential areas and shopping malls. Also, they are a popular tool with brickwork contractors for cutting half-bricks.
Viewed by many as a superior alternative to a petrol disc cutter, block splitters doesn't create much noise, emit fumes, consume any fuel, or have any spinning blades exposed on site.
