Hilti wall chasers are powerful diamond slitting tools designed to cut clean-edged channels in masonry, concrete and blockwork in order to neatly conceal cables and pipe work. The wall chaser features two parallel diamond blades that may be adjusted to chase at different widths. Once the channel has been cut, a demolition breaker can be used to remove material between the cuts, leaving a clean channel for cabling, conduit and pipe installation. Large, comfortable handles allow the operator to get a secure grip on the machine for safety.
Two models are stocked, the older Hilti DC-SE20 and the newer Hilti DCH 150-SL. The DC-SE20 has a cutting depth of 38mm using 125mm blades, and the newer DCH 150-SL has a cutting depth of 50mm using two 150mm blades. The spec sheet attached lists the newer model.
To minimise dust levels, fit an M-Class dust extractor to the built in dust outlet.
