TopCon are renowned for their quality and reliable surveying equipment. Sometimes known as auto lasers, auto levels, and rotary levels, their laser levels offer a high quality solution that work in conjunction with a laser receiver to provide a level, horizontal line even over great distances.
These machines are delivered with a calibration certificate from a certified test centre.
Once the battery wanes, the speed of the spinning mirror will slow down and the receiver will not function correctly until recharged.
The base of the laser level screws onto the tripod, securing it in place. As long as the tripod is approximately level, the motors in the laser level will fine tune its position until it is level, at which point the mirror will begin spinning. If at any point the laser is disturbed, the level will stop spinning until the motors re-level.
The 360 degree spinning beam emitted from the machine is picked up by the laser receiver that fixes onto the staff, with a number of beeps and digital screen indicator showing how close the receiver is to being level with the laser.
Laser Levels are used in a wide variety of situations, from grading an area of land to ensuring concrete footings are level, they are an essential companion when you need to ensure your building work is level.
They can also be used indoors, although primarily suited for outdoor use as the red beam can be difficult to see in bright daylight.
