Calthorpe Academy Birmingham

Project Details

One of our clients hired 240 tools and equipment to help with construction works at Calthorpe Academy, Birmingham.

We supplied works at this West Midlands school with a wide range of tools and equipment, including Plant machinery, concreting equipment, power and electrics equipment and more.

A new sensory garden and outdoor amphitheatre seating was proposed as an outdoor learning environment, which helped reduce landfill waste. The building benefits from responsive sensor lighting and solar adjusted glazing to ensure the building performs efficiently and to help reduce the academy’s carbon footprint.

During the works at Calthorpe Academy in the West Midlands, we also supplied our client with Hilti demolition hammers, rotating flashing beacons, submersible pumps, reduced vibration combi drills and plenty more.

History

Calthorpe Academy is a school that caters for children aged between 2-19 with learning difficulties. 

The academy specialises in education needs for SEN children, largely with autism. The project was delivered in conjunction with Birmingham City Council and Calthorpe Academy.

This academy is situated in the centre of Birmingham and is in a prime location for the City Hire distribution centres in the West Midlands - we now have one depot in Telford and one depot in Birmingham.
